Windows 7 Disable Autoplay

To disable Autoplay under Windows 7:

• Click on Start > Type "gpedit.msc" in the Search field and press Enter.
• Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > AutoPlay Policies
• In the right pane, click on "Turn Off Autoplay"
• From there you can select the items for which you want to disable autoplay (CD-Rom drives, external drives...etc)
